Projects / Animation / 'Gelert' Great Hall Working as a sub-contractor to Griffilms, the creative team at ThinkPlay.tv completed 250 background shots in 3 months for the S4C Christmas Special animated film 'Gelert'. Based around the 12 century legend of the dog 'Gelert' the feature animation story was based around both modern and medieval North Wales. The contract involved creating 13 different environment for the film including: Castle Bedrooms, Castle Exteriors, Cathedral, The Great Halls, Castle Kitchens, Landscapes, Chancellors Office, Modern Day 'Taid' house interior and Modern Day 'Taid' house exterior. The work was completed using Maya and Softimage and the final shots delivered to Griffilms for final compositing.
